If you were not limited by the demands of the national/regional curriculum, what would you say is the most important thing you would teach your students about your subject (in a CLIL context)? How would you assess their learning?

As a teacher of childhood school, I think that if the curriculum wouldn't exist, you could teach many things with the same importance because teaching is much more than give a series of guidelines and knowledge.

A resource that could be used in childhood school could be the game as a teaching technique in the teaching and learning of English in a CLIL context, because when you're using it, you'll talk about issues such as motivation: which encourages the use of gaming in the process of learning English. Curiosity: which is such use and appreciation of the game as a way to reach a meaningful learning.

 

Currently there are many teachers who do their work in a monotone way, and holding on to what they already know or like. When we work with children, we must be continuously innovative, go further and use our imagination and creativity to teach the children more significantly using also the fun.

A teacher must teach children paying attention to the educational process and improving it creatively and efficiently.

Today there are many ways and resources we can use, both ICT as much more diverse materials, and it's a shame that many professionals don't take these advantages to teach their students with a new way, and taking a risk to the change. As teachers, we are required to cover the needs of our students, and among them we have the need for experimentation.

From my point of view, is with the experiencing as most children learn and that's why I consider that innovation is essential in teaching, and even more in the infant stage.

As for the evaluation say that is part of the educational process, as it is interrelated with all elements of it, but for methodological reasons is presented as the last element of the process. This point has a feedback function, as the results come, we think again the objectives or any other element of the educational process. That is why I would assess the learning through an initial, continuous and final assessment.

Finally, the assessment must value not only the teaching / learning but also teaching practice, the student and the school.
