-THE CHILDREN SEE, CHILDREN DO ...-
"How come the kids are being so intelligent, most of the adults are stupids? The result must be... " learning by
imitation.
One of the main processes by which we learn is imitation. According to
experts we are born not knowing imitate and during the first months , while we
learn new behaviors we learn to imitate. As we grow , we continue to refine
this ability ; imitate more and better.
With this, it is clear that any behavior ( good and not so good ) sees the
child 's parents will be likely to be imitated. Not only parents will be role
models for the rest of his family , the circle of closest friends, school,
television, ... be a potential source of behavior to imitate. It can be deduced
that the behavior of children and in the future, the adult may have had its
origin in the imitation of a previously observed behavior.
Adult behavior à The child imitates à Reinforcing behavior by the
adult (the more it resembles the adult) à Repeat behavior by the child
